Kyle Fowler Looking For Good Luck In First Snowflake 100
15-Year-Old Georgia Racer Ready To Shine In Florida
In 2007, 15-year-old racer Kyle Fowler has spent most of his season racing at tracks in Georgia as part of the Georgia Asphalt Series (GAS).  While the series has ventured out of the state on occasion, Fowler has turned most of his laps at Peachstate Speedway (GA) and Lanier National Speedway (GA).  Now the young racer is ready to venture to Florida to race in one of the biggest Pro Late Model events of the season in the Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola.
“We ran down there at Five Flags with GAS,” said Fowler.  “We have definitely progressed a long way from when we raced down there the first time.  That was only my second race ever in a Late Model.  We learned a lot about the car and how to adjust it.  We were good the last time we went down to test, so I think we will be good to go.”

While the recent test for Fowler was good on the track, just getting to the facility and turning some laps was a struggle his team had to overcome.
“It seems like everything we have been trying to get ready for this race has gone wrong,” explained Fowler.  “We went down to Pensacola to test a week ago.  We drove all the way down there and we hooked up the radiator wrong and blew the motor on the second run out.  Then, on the way back we blew a tire on the hauler and almost flipped over.  It took almost three hours to get the tires changed out there.”

Fowler has had a breakout season in 2007.  Along with his fifth-place finish in the Georgia Asphalt Series championship standings, he was also named Georgia Asphalt Series Rookie of the Year.  Now, with the GAS season completed and the testing bad luck behind him, Fowler is looking forward to good luck this weekend so his name can be added to the list of Snowflake 100 winners.

“We just hope we can turn it all around and have good luck for a change.  We hope to have a good run.  The car was good when we tested it except for the motor problems of course.  I think we will be good to go.”

The Snowflake 100 is set for December 1st at Five Flags Speedway in Florida.  The race will get underway at 7:00pm local time.
