Pensacola a Learning Experience For Kyle Fowler
Georgia Driver Getting Ready for the Snowflake 100 in December
Kyle Fowler and his race team headed to Pensacola, Florida, for the Pro Late Model 100-lap event at Five Flags Speedway this past weekend and had a successful outing. Sure, his eighth-place finish wasn't a win, but the goal of the event was to gain experience prior to a bigger race coming up this fall.
"We went down there to try to get a little bit of experience prior to racing there in the Snowflake," said Fowler. Last year we qualified great, but we had some rear-end trouble and finished about 14th."
"I had to dodge a few wrecks and tried to race everyone as clean as I could since it was championship night down there," explained Fowler. "The first four guys were only separated by like 10 points."
All in all, Fowler considered his trek to the track valuable in getting him one step closer to victory lane in the Snowflake event.
"I forgot how much of a cheese grater that place is. I found that out pretty quickly.
"We still have a little bit of work to do. We hope to have all the bugs out of the car before we get down to the Snowflake, but we will be good to go."
The "Allen Turner Snowflake 100" will take place on Saturday, December 6th at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida.
